Ok, it’s been a bit of a slow week, so I don’t have any earth shattering, life changing favourite to announce, but it’s the little things that matter right? I’ve also been struck down by the zillionth cold I’ve had this winter, which is why I’ve been a little slow with posts this week. I know, I know, tiny violins are playing somewhere just for me…welcome to my pity party. Anyway I have been feeling pretty rubbish this week so I haven’t been ‘in the right frame of mind’ to think of favourites, but this rhubarb and vanilla candle has cheered me up. So that’s why I picked it. Sometimes you’ve just got to go with the things that make you smile, and it was the candle or peas, seriously. Aren’t you luck the candle won?
I love scented candles; we have many varieties of them in the house, including one that smells like bluebells and reminds me of my Great-Grandma, but this one is my favourite at the moment. It smells just like rhubarb and custard sweets, which were literally the sweet of my childhood (I just love that sweet but bitter combo) it’s also pink, so that makes me happy. Another deal clincher for “Friday’s Favourite” winner is the fact it was on sale for £1 at Matalan, take that Yankee Candle and your overpriced jars of scented wax!
